The new IE9 now has a tracking protection feature which is disabled by default until you add some "tracking lists" to it. (Accessed by clicking the gear icon, then scrolling to safety, then tracking protection, and clicking it.)
A few months ago I added several overlapping lists to it. Since then I have had a lot of trouble trying to post any comments via newsvine. Usually I could type in the text box but nothing would happen when I clicked the "post comment" button. I was forced to use Chrome if I wanted to add a comment to any discussions.
I've emailed newsvine help over and over asking them exactly what tracking must be allowed in order to comment. I received a response to my 2nd email only, telling me to "update my browser" and have not received any responses since.
Now I have added "Do not Track Plus" from Abine.com to both my browsers and can't even view the comments any more. I click "Join Discussion" and the page just refreshes giving me the identical page with only the same button on it.
Apparently, selling our information to trackers takes priority here as I am still unable to get any help from the newsvine staff.
Just be aware, you do pay for this service, by letting them tell everyone that will pay them, everyplace you go online.
